Took a few photos with Actor Michael Sheen a month or so ago. He was working with students at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. There was quite a bit of waiting around but eventually I was able to get a few minutes to take photos of the meeting they were having. Im not too sure what the photos are being used for, hopefully the new prospectus but whenever a star as well known as Martin Sheen is visiting its allways worth getting on record for future press/publications.

# UPDATE – It ended up being used full size on a double page spread in colour but I dont have an A3 scanner to post it up here – I will chase up a PDF.

A year or so ago I had the opportunity to shoot some photographs with the Cape Town Opera. I had not done much Theatre Photography before so was exited to give it a try.

Kiran Ridley who I was working with at the time has done lots of backstage documentary photography with various performances both Musical and Theatre, so he was covering most of the backstage stuff, but I did get a few photographs backsatge in intervals. Alot of the photographs of the performance I took are on my events gallery on my website but I didnt feel there was space to put up the backstage photographs so here are a few that I got.

I have recently moved to Bristol, UK from Cardiff in Wales. I have been in wales for 5 years now throughout my University days at Newport and the start of my professional career as a photographer in Cardiff. This year has been a very busy year for me as I have now gone freelance and have made the decision to base myself in Bristol.

I have been really busy since I moved here but ironically have had little work in the Bristol area. I have had alot of work in Wales and a few conferences in London and Geneva. The last two weeks I have been relatively quiet so I have finally had a chance to sort out a new website and blog seeing as my other website www.oliveredwardsphotography.com is 2 years old so very outaded. It was also made with flash so SEO is limited. I have also done a bit of logo design and branding to bring the look and feel of my photography into the modern world.

So anyway I now have what I think is a finished website that needs a bit of tweaking in  the design and editing and I am now going to start marketing myself as a Bristol based Photographer. I am also going to start making an image library of Bristol to eventually make a stock photography website. The first shoot was the obvious Clifton Suspension Bridge (top right)
