I worked at the Silverstone Classic last week. One of my clients is a corporate events company based near London and they have taken over the event management of the Classic a few years ago. This year the all new Silverstone Wing was open and is a great place to watch the action from. Because I am not a Motorsport specialist photographer and do not own any of the 10 grand super long lenses my area was to photograph the Corporate hospitality and VIP area of the new wing in a similar style to the conference photography I usually do. There were a few famous faces around for the celebrity race including Heston Blumenthal amongst others.
It was also the Jaguar E-types 50th birthday so they held a record breaking 1000+ Etype cars on Silverstone at once. Jaguar also supplied the courtesy cars for the VIP and Media so it was very nice taxied from place to place in £100,000 car.

I am and have always been mad about Motorsport and love to travel around with a few friends to different go kart tracks around the country so I always really enjoy working at the Silverstone Classic (its the second year I have done it) as I get access to everywhere and get to see the cars close up.
